One day removed from informing the Lakers of his decision to move on, James has received interest from multiple teams in free agency. Golden State, Cleveland and Miami have been mentioned in various reports, and now Philadelphia has reportedly thrown its hat into the ring. The 76ers made a major move on Wednesday, acquiring Jaylen Brown from the Celtics for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks. On paper, Philadelphia’s current roster has the look of a contender in the East, even without James. Adding LeBron to the mix would round out their starting lineup, pushing Dominick Barlow to the bench after he started for most of the 2025-26 campaign.
  • PHI Guard-Forward #7
The Celtics have been shopping Brown for a while now, and they finally found an offer that made moving on from the five-time All-Star worthwhile. Coming off the best individual season of his NBA career, the 6-foot-6 wing is headed to Philadelphia. Last season, Brown averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 three-pointers while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 79.5 percent from the foul line. Joining forces with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey likely puts a dent in Brown’s usage, but his fantasy value should not take too big of a hit, if any, in Philadelphia.
  • SAS Forward #12
Harris, a 15-year NBA veteran, did a lot of good things for the Pistons in his latest two-year stint with the team. He was a starter on the court and a positive influence off the court for a young team with NBA Finals aspirations. Sound familiar? Harris, who turns 34 later this month, is slated for a similar role with the Spurs. Fantasy expectations should still remain low for Harris.
  • LAL Center #24
The unprotected picks the Jazz will receive are in 2031 and 2033 and the pick swaps are in 2028 and 2030. Kessler will sign a massive four-year, $130 million extension with the Lakers. Los Angeles had been talking with Pistons center Jalen Duren about acquiring him in a sign-and-trade, but the Lakers took action here in completing the deal for Kessler. The 24-year-old center spent the first four years of his career with the Jazz, averaging 9.5 points and 9.3 rebounds. He’s the big winner from this trade from a fantasy perspective if he can stay healthy. The Lakers are now hard capped to the first apron and have no first-round picks to trade.
  • BOS Center-Forward #23
Robinson’s deal includes a player option in the third season. The 28-year-old center is coming off winning a championship with the Knicks as the organization’s longest-tenured player. Now Robinson will call Boston home for at least the next two season. The Celtics desperately needed help in the frontcourt and the addition of Robinson helps address that need. It’s no surprise the Knicks didn’t elect to sign Robinson given the team’s cap situation the organization’s desire to avoid the second apron. Robinson will go into the Celtic’s mid-level exception and Boston will be hard capped to the first apron.
  • BKN Forward-Center #21
Wagner has been in the NBA for eight years and only played at least 50 games in a season three times. His production fell off last season with the Magic as he averaged just 6.9 points and 3.2 rebounds, which were both career-lows. Orlando seemed prepared to lose Wagner in free agency, making Goga Bitadze off-limits in trades and adding Nikola Vucevic as a free agent. Wagner joins a Nets squad that went 20-62 last year. He’ll come off the bench behind Julius Randle in Brooklyn.
  • BOS Guard-Forward #7
Appearing on ESPN’s First Take Wednesday morning, Charania said the Celtics are strongly shopping Brown and have discussed offers with 8-10 teams in the last several days. This comes on the heels of the Athletic’s Sam Amick reporting earlier this week that Boston will have to lower its asking price to move Brown. Maybe the Celtics are heading in that direction after making players like Hugo Gonzalez and Baylor Scheierman untouchable in trade talks for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Charania reiterated that Brown hasn’t requested trade, though it would be surprising if he’s not traded this offseason.
  • BOS Guard #10
Conley’s contract will pay him the veteran minimum. His arrival in Boston puts an end to a four-year tenure in Minnesota during which he averaged 9.0 points, 4.6 assists and shot 41 percent from behind the three-point line. Conley will serve as guard depth with the Celtics behind Derrick White and Payton Pritchard.
  • Vučević previously spent nine seasons with the Magic earlier in his career. More recently, the 35-year-old center saw his production fall off drastically after a midseason trade to the Celtics last season. Vučević’s playoff production was limited to the point where the Celtics benched him for Game 7 as they lost a series against the 76ers. Vooch was a top-50 player and a bonafide starter as recently as two years ago with the Bulls. With the Magic only paying him $3.9 million at this stage of his career, he could be ticketed for a lesser role in Orlando.
  • PHI Center #55
Hukporti has provided depth at backup center for the Knicks for the last two years. The 24-year-old appeared in 54 regular season games and even had a couple blocks in the NBA Finals as New York ended its 53-year championship drought. Hukporti will now be depth behind 76ers big man Joel Embiid, so he could find his way into the occasional start when Embiid is forced to miss time.
